Co-Founder of the School for the Electro Sonic Painting, New Orleans, 2009.
Invited to teach courses in Electro-Sonic Painting/Music at ArtWorks, New Orleans,

Currently working on the musical score for a national documentary about the best selling
author Walker Percy; 2009.
Musical score for Documentary about Hurricane Audrey commissioned by the National
Hurricane Museum, produced by award winning film company Get Fresh Media; 2008
and 2009.
Contributed music to feature film, “The Best Bar in America”, starring David Ackroyd;
2009.
Released a solo record in 2009 titled “Grounded” released globally by Homegrown
Music Network Record Label, perform regularly as Nathan J Normand throughout the
U.S.
Collaborator in an Art Exhibition with Marcus Brown entitled “Electro-Sonic Paintings”
at The George and Leah Museum of African American Art, Delgado Gallery; 2008 and

Keyboard player, Guitar Player and co-founder of Signal Path, an experimental
electronic quintet formed in Missoula Montana in 2002. Signal Path has released 3
studio albums, 1 live album and 1 remix album. Signal Path also has more than 2 dozen
live performance recordings on www.archive.org that collectively have been downloaded
and listened to over 30,000 times in 6 years. Signal Path has toured North America many
times over, clocking in over 400 shows at such venues as the Fox Theater in Boulder,
Colorado The Bluebird Theater in Denver, Colorado, The Park West in Chicago, The
Knitting Factory in both New York and Los Angeles, B.B Kings in New York City, and
has been invited to play at major festivals such as Bonoroo, South by Southwest,
Wakarusa, Summercamp, North by Northwest, 10,000 Lakes Festival and has toured and
performed with Umphreys McGee, Galactic, Nelly, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Sound
Tribe Sector Nine, LTJ Bukem,De La Soul, The Allman Brothers Band, Electric
Skychurch, The Lengendary Wailers, DJ Logic, Widespread Panic and more. Signal
Path is seen as a torchbearer in the “live-electronic, cumpeter music”, fusing electronic
computer music with traditional organic instruments.
Featured Artist on a Joan Sagel, a New Orleans gospel singer, album in 2007.
Co-founder of PAINT, a multi-media performance art group that fuses sound and
painting in a way never done before. We have invented and developed most of our own
electronic tools ranging from microphones to midi triggers. PAINT has been asked to do
a 3 month exhibition at the McKenna Museum of African American Art in New Orleans
and has also been asked to participate in shows at The Kitchen, a historic art space in
New York City, in 2008 and has performed multiple times throughout New Orleans in
2007 and 2008 at Tipitina’s, the CAC, PJ’s Café and The McKenna Museum of African
American Art.
