Nathan Weidenhaft's exploration of all things musical began in childhood. His interests and efforts landed him at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts’ Jazz Studies program while still in high school. Following NOCCA, Weidenhaft studied music at the University of New Orleans, University of North Texas and Loyola University. Weidenhaft's various stints with groups and ensembles have resulted in participation on more than a dozen studio recordings and many more live recordings. In 2001, he joined the live-electronic band, Signal Path. As Keyboardist/Guitarist, Signal Path’s accomplishments include over 400 shows in three years throughout North America, invitations to perform at major festivals such as Bonnoroo, Wakarusa, 10,000 Lakes, High Sierra, and South by South West. Signal Path was also featured in national publications such as Relix and Newsweek. Beyond Signal Path, Weidenhaft is also the other half of the experimental performance art music duo, “Paint,” along with his childhood friend and iconoclastic artist Marcus Brown. Paint is a groundbreaking project that merges the auditory and visual into one electro-sonic existence. He has also recently released a solo record of the self-invented Delta-tronic genre of music titled, Grounded, Go Home, whish is released internationally through the Homegrown Music Network. Weidenhaft is also the producer of album for Marcus Brown’s electro-sonic painting Peinture Concrete.
